In recent days, her ICU team has been able to lift her paralytic, and she is now beginning the next phase of her journey: \u003cstrong\u003erecovery.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLayla has a long road ahead of her, and heartbreakingly, she will celebrate her first birthday in the hospital.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe're raising funds to help support Layla and her family through this incredibly challenging time.
